Terms of service.
The agreement between you and Teshape when you create an account or use the product. Plain language, no surprises.

1. Agreement
By creating a Teshape account or using our mobile app, web portal at app.teshape.com, or this marketing site at teshape.com, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
These terms work alongside our privacy policy. If they ever conflict, the privacy policy wins on privacy matters; these terms win on everything else.
2. Who can use Teshape
You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you’re a coach working with a client under 16, the client’s parent or legal guardian must create and operate the account on the client’s behalf.
You agree to give us accurate information when you sign up and to keep it accurate. You’re responsible for what happens under your account — keep your password safe and don’t share it.
3. The two roles
3.1 Trainees
Teshape is free for trainees today. You can use the app to log workouts, meals, measurements, and progress photos, and (optionally) to connect with a coach who can see what you log and assign you plans.
3.2 Coaches
Coaches pay a subscription fee to use the platform. The fee covers your access to client management, plan builders, analytics, the web portal, and your published profile. Current pricing is at teshape.com/pricing.
Coaches are independent professionals, not Teshape employees. We don’t employ you, we don’t manage your clients, and we don’t set your prices — you do.
4. Payments — trainee ↔ coach
Teshape does not process payments between coaches and trainees inside the app. If your coach charges for their services, payment happens directly between you and the coach — bank transfer, cash, or whatever payment method the coach uses. We are not party to that transaction.
That means we can’t mediate refunds, payment disputes, or chargebacks between you and your coach. Talk to your coach first. If a coach is engaging in fraud or abuse, let us know at support@teshape.comand we’ll investigate.
5. Payments — coach ↔ Teshape
Coach subscriptions to Teshape are billed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play (depending on your device), via RevenueCat. Apple/Google’s terms govern the billing transaction itself; ours govern everything that happens inside the app once you’re subscribed.
Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your device’s subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies — we don’t process refunds directly.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Teshape — your training plans, nutrition plans, messages, photos, custom exercises and foods. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process this content for the purpose of running the product (e.g. showing your plan to your client, syncing across your devices, generating an AI suggestion at your request).
We do not claim ownership. We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell it. If you delete your content, we stop displaying it (subject to short backup retention as described in the privacy policy).
7. What you can’t do
You agree not to:
- Use Teshape to coach a client into a medical condition (e.g. unsafe weight targets) or in a way that violates the laws or coaching standards of your jurisdiction.
- Impersonate someone else, including misrepresenting your credentials or claiming a coaching certification you don’t hold.
- Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the service or its content beyond what your own account contains.
- Use Teshape to send spam, harass anyone, or distribute illegal content.
- Attempt to break our security, probe for vulnerabilities (except in good faith and via the security contact below), or interfere with other people’s accounts.
- Resell or sublicense access to your Teshape account.
8. Medical disclaimer
Teshape is a tool, not a doctor. Nothing in the app — including AI-generated suggestions, calculator results, programs assigned by your coach, or content elsewhere on this site — is medical advice. Consult a licensed healthcare professional before starting a new training or nutrition program, especially if you have or suspect a medical condition.
9. Coach independence
Coaches on Teshape are independent professionals. Their plans, advice, and communications are theirs alone. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for the specific recommendations a coach makes to a client. If a coach’s behaviour violates these terms, report it and we’ll act.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep the product running smoothly, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We may need to take services down for maintenance, upgrades, or to respond to security incidents. We’ll do this gracefully when we can.
Some features rely on third parties (Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, OpenAI). If they go down, Teshape may degrade or be temporarily unavailable.
11. Termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account inside the app. After a short backup-retention window, your data is removed.
We can suspend or close your account if you violate these terms, if your payments fail (for coach subscriptions), if you’ve been inactive for more than 24 months, or if we’re required to by law. We’ll notify you when we can, unless doing so would defeat the purpose (e.g. fraud).
12. Disclaimers
Teshape is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet a specific goal you have. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teshape’s total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$50. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Nothing in this section limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence in jurisdictions where that limitation isn’t enforceable).
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Teshape against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights through your use of the service.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of London, England — except that if you’re a consumer in a country with mandatory local consumer-protection laws, those laws apply too.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the product or the law changes. We’ll bump the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we’ll notify you by email or in-app. If you keep using Teshape after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don’t, you can close your account.
